The main quest

The Lost Foal

Your pegasus was white as a cloud, with great wings. The Maw, the beast beyond the portals, reached out of its pit and took her foal. In her grief she flew up into the sky, to the Skyreach, and there she went wild.

Her foal lives yet, in a cage by the Maw's pit. Beat the Maw, and the cage opens. Carry the foal up to the Skyreach and find her herd. Crouch, give her the foal, and feed her a sunfruit: she will know you again.

Guard the foal well. The Maw wants it back.
